Prepare your logo image. For best results:
-
File type must be a JPG, GIF or a non-interlaced PNG.
-
File size must be less than 1MB. If your file is too large, save it as a different file type, reduce the quality, or use an advanced invoice template.
-
Maximum dimensions for a logo are 400px wide and 120px high. If your logo is larger, you can resize the logo using a graphics program.
When the logo is presented on an online or PDF copy of a transaction or in the email, Xero might automatically scale down the size of the logo to fit the required space. To add a logo with a specific size, you'll need to use an advanced invoice template.
-
Click on the organisation name, select Settings, then click Invoice settings.
-
Next to the template you want to update, click Upload Logo. Or if you want to replace an existing logo, click Options, then select Change Logo.

Fix common problems with invoice logos
If you’re using a standard invoice template and you’ve changed the logo, the new logo might not display in the email version of the invoice. This issue only affects some users who use certain email clients. The logo displays correctly in the online or PDF version of the invoice.
To resolve this issue, create a standard invoice template with the new logo and use it in place of your current invoice template.
You can also create an advanced invoice template. Advanced templates aren’t affected by this issue and allow greater flexibility for the structure and layout of your invoice.
