If you find that your American Express card is no longer connected to Xero, reconnecting it is a simple process. By following the steps outlined below, you can easily restore the connection and ensure that all your transactions are seamlessly integrated into your Xero account.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Access Your Xero Dashboard:

    • Log in to your Xero account to view your dashboard.
  2. Locate the American Express Card:

    • On your dashboard, identify the American Express card that is currently connected but displaying a blue button labeled Get Bank Feeds. This indicates that the card has been disconnected.
  3. Click 'Get Bank Feeds':

    • Click on the Get Bank Feeds button to initiate the reconnection process.
  4. Log In to American Express:

    • You will be redirected to a page asking you to log in to your American Express account. Enter your American Express login credentials to proceed.
  5. Automatic Account Selection:

    • Once logged in, Xero will automatically select the corresponding American Express card account if you have both American Express and Xero accounts with the same login details.
  6. Add New Card (If Necessary):
